Craving sweets or fats? Teas that have a fruity, chocolate, mint or spicy taste can be a great alternative. One of the reasons we sometimes crave sugar & fat is because it’s a response to stress. Since many of these teas also have naturally stress-relieving qualities, they can counteract the reason you’re craving a treat in the first place, while giving your taste buds something satisfying to enjoy.
If you’re also hankering for something richer, creamier & more indulgent, to every cup of tea, add a splash of unsweetened non-dairy milk (almond, rice, oat, soy or any nut milks can be wonderful) – & now you’ve got a heavenly creamy drink! The non-dairy milk will add a few calories, but very little if you’re using an unsweetened type.
