Tea Syrups will easily become your new favourite household essential! Making them is simple & quick & you’ll be amazed at how many ways you can use them. Pour over crêpes, pancakes, or waffles instead of maple syrup. Or try some drizzled over oatmeal, fruit salad, yogurt or ice cream. You can also use Tea Syrups as a base to make deliciously unique TEA SODAS & TEA SPARKLERS or to mix into mocktails.
This recipe uses the tantalizing fruitiness of Mango Shade tea & regular sugar. Use it as your jumping off point, & experiment with all of your favourite SILK ROAD teas!

MANGO SHADE TEA SYRUP
4 tablespoons MANGO SHADE loose tea
2 cups boiling water
1 cup sugar *(see note above to make it sugar-free)
1. Pour 2 cups boiling water over 4 tablespoons Mango Shade tea. Steep for 5 minutes, & then strain into a saucepan.
2. Add 1 cup of sugar to the saucepan containing brewed tea. Stir mixture over medium heat until sugar is fully dissolved, & the liquid has a crystal clear appearance.
3. Pour mixture into a heatproof pitcher or jug, & let cool completely.
